Samewise is free; on mobile it is supported by ads.

WHAT IS COLLECTED

Gameplay events (puzzle started, solved, failed; level reached) and crash reports — so we can fix what breaks and see which puzzles are too hard. On mobile this also includes the device advertising identifiers supplied by the ad SDK.

WHO PROCESSES IT

Google AdMob serves the ads (mobile only). Gameplay events and crash reports go to Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Their processing is governed by Google's terms.

Yandex Mobile Ads also serves ads in some regions, particularly where Google ads are unavailable; Yandex may receive device technical data and the advertising identifier. Its processing is governed by Yandex's terms: https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/.

AppMetrica (Yandex) provides install attribution and app analytics: it receives device identifiers (including the advertising identifier), the IP address, and usage and session data — to attribute the install to its source and to measure aggregate usage; location collection is disabled in this app. Its processing is governed by Yandex's terms: https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/.

Meta Platforms provides install attribution and campaign measurement for the ads we buy on Meta's apps; it is used outside Russia only. It receives the device advertising identifier, the IP address, device and network attributes, and a small set of app events (app install, app launch, and reaching level 10) — to attribute an install to the ad that led to it and to measure campaign performance. The Meta SDK stays switched off until consent is given where consent is required. Its processing is governed by Meta's terms: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

THE WEB VERSION

Shows no ads and uses no advertising identifiers.
